Generous Like God

Pastor Matt shared a powerful reminder of the Church’s mission, rooted in Jesus’ authority and His call to make disciples of all nations. Drawing from Matthew 28 and John 12, he emphasized that when the Church lifts up Jesus—not itself—Jesus draws people to Himself. He spent time celebrating God’s faithfulness at Kingsway, highlighting five years of growth, 129 baptisms in 2025, and the completion of the Relentless Pursuit campaign raising over $2.25 million. The message challenged the Church to stay focused on its true purpose: making disciples, living on mission, and trusting Jesus to build His Church.

Sermon Notes

Matthew 28:18-20 NIV

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The Goal of every Christian is simple: Make More and Better Disciples.

Acts 2:37 NIV

When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

Acts 2:38 NIV

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Acts 2:41 NIV

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
