2026 Elder Candidate
October 26, 2025
Annual Meeting
At the annual congregation meeting on November 23, 2025, we will affirm the upcoming Elder Nominee, Travis Baugh. All members of Kingsway Christian Church are eligible to participate in this meeting and will be asked to cast a vote to affirm Travis for Eldership beginning January 1, 2026.
Meet Travis Baugh
Travis grew up in a Christian home in Lafayette, Indiana, and later attended Purdue University. After graduating in 2017, he relocated to Plainfield to start a corporate marketing career with Carrier Corporation, where he remains today.
During his time in Plainfield, Travis served at Plainfield Christian Church in various capacities, including life group leader, men’s group leader, high school group leader, and homebound care representative. Since joining Kingsway in 2020 with his wife, Shelby, he has continued serving in a variety of ministries, including kids’ check-in, elder care, and the Relentless Pursuit, neighboring, and men’s retreat planning committees. He also leads a weekly men’s Bible group in his home.
Travis is passionate about discipleship and community, rooted in his personal walk with Christ. After straying from the Lord during his college years, he has built his life on the firm foundation of Jesus and is committed to living out the Great Commission by loving God and loving others.
Travis and Shelby have been blessed with two children—Avery (3) and Elliott (1)—and enjoy growing in faith and fellowship together with their life group.
