Winter Coat Drive with Lew Wallace Elementary

Loving others by meeting a physical need.

Kingsway is coming alongside the staff at Lew Wallace Elementary School to provide a winter coat for about 350 of their kids. With over 30 countries and 20 languages represented across the kindergarten - sixth graders, it is an extremely diverse and multi-cultural school! Many of the kids are refugees from warmer climates and do not have anything warm to wear. With the majority of the families economically disadvantaged, it can be easy to see why this need is real!

We are honored to be a part of helping these kids succeed and become accomplished young men and women, knowing the love of Jesus.

Sunday, November 22 - there will be an opportunity for you, your family, and even your small group to select from the kids we have given broken out by grade. Please choose as many as you feel called to support. Their first name, size, and gender will also be on the cards so you can best supply that child with a coat meant for him or her, specifically.

Sunday, December 6 - we will collect all the coats. You'll be provided with a zip tie to attach the original tag to the new coat so we can be sure to get that coat into the right little hands. We are planning to deliver the coats to the staff later that week who will help deliver each one.

*If your family feels called or perhaps your kids want to help, the school can always use winter hats, gloves, or mittens. They are universal and can be used by all of their families.
