Submit A Ministry Idea

Ministry Action Plan (MAP)

Do you feel the desire to begin a new ministry at Kingsway Christian Church? This MAP will help you plan your course and arrive at your destination. The MAP is designed to provide guidelines for the creation of new ministries and to collect all of the pertinent information for the evaluation of your idea. Please complete the following steps to submit your idea for consideration.

Step 1: Qualification

Does this ministry meet basic requirements for Kingsway ministries? To be considered, all ministry ideas must meet the following qualifications:

• The idea must be biblically sound.
• The idea must enhance the reputation of Kingsway Christian Church.
• The idea must not raise funds.
• The idea must be focused upon at least two of Kingsway's Core 4 elements: Worship, Grow, Serve and Share. It may also focus upon offering support and recovery during and after crises (e.g., divorce support, addiction group) or providing training to acquire a useful skill (e.g., Spanish lessons, Financial Peace University).
• The idea must be led by a centralized leadership team consisting of members of Kingsway who have completed Lead and the Core 4 classes. Contact Jeff or Kevin at 317.272.2222 or email Jeff or Kevin for more information
• The idea must be structured to operate on a one-time basis or recurrent term and, therefore, must be capable of being evaluated according to that structure.

Step 2: Information

If your idea meets all of the qualifications in the first step, please complete this form. It is designed to do two things:

• It will give you a tool to help you get all of your ideas from your heart and your head onto paper.
• It will help the Kingsway staff to have a clear picture of what you are proposing so we can evaluate it confidently.

Step #3: Assimilation

All ministry ideas undergo a careful process of evaluation before and after they launch. The general process is as follows:

• Completed MAP is submitted.
• Adult Department reviews the ministry idea for approval.
• Personal interview with a pastor.
• Orientation meeting with a ministry assistant and pastor (if the idea is approved).
• Planning, team building and organization phase.
• Pre-launch evaluation with lead team, ministry administrator and pastor.
• Ministry launch.
• Quarterly or semester evaluation.
