Programs
High School Life GroupsWhen: Sunday mornings from 9-10:15 Where: Groups start off in the West Building (metal pole barn on west end of parking lot). What: We start the morning with breakfast for a buck from 8:45-9:15 then we stay in a large group for a short time and then break off into smaller groups for the remainder of the time. Purpose: Life Groups are designed to bring students together as peers, but more importantly, to bring them closer to Jesus Christ. This is an environment were students can share with each other, pray together, support each other, have fun, and grow. These groups are non-threatening and a student may join a group at any time. NOTE: Life Groups will continue through May 25. A variety of classes will be offered for high school students throughout the summer. QUESTWhen: Quest is every Sunday evening from 6-8. Where: The evening begins in the Recreation Center of the main building, please enter through the Atrium entrance. We have a café with food and drinks available, a game room (pool, video games, foosball), and plenty of room to hang out! Then we move to the West Building (metal pole barn on west end of parking lot) for the evening worship and message. Students will be dismissed from the West Building. What: This program aids students in this life – the quest of finding and pursuing God. At its basis it is a high school worship service. This service, however, is geared specifically to high school students and their specific needs. It will be foremost Biblically relevant and secondly, culturally sensitive to the eyes and ears of this world. We worship God through song, community, through His Word, through media, through art, and any other means we can! Come and connect with your friends as together we will embark on this quest! NOTE: Quest will not meet on the following dates: May 11, Mother's Day; May 25, Memorial Day weekend. "QUEST: find what you're looking for."
Teen MissionsThe teen missions program is designed to prepare our students on what it's like to be a missionary. Trips are taken within the United States as well as abroad. The students work from early fall until their designated trip is taken. They are responsible for raising their support, attending weekly meetings, and participating to the fullest degree in whatever that trips purpose is. Some trips are work trips others put on VBS programs, while others are a combination of work and VBS. These trips stretch our students and they experience how others experience life. Click here for information on this year's Jamaica Trip. Upcoming Meetings: May 4 & 18, June 1. Special Prayer Night: Friday, June 6. Student Impact Teams (SITs)SITs are underway for the second semester and will run through May 21. God has blessed each and everyone of us with various types of gifts and talents. These teams are designed to help further develop those gifts and talent and put them to work immediately. There are 9 teams in all. Students will be able to pick which team they wish to be involved in. Each team will utilize their gifts and talents within the Kingsway family and throughout our community. The SITs teams will have another presentation night on May 21. For more information about SITs please contact Chris Fowler at 272.2222 extension 116. |
