Saturday Service
Our Kids programming on Saturdays is changing! We are looking forward to the offerings that we can provide the kids on Saturday night. The new format will help us serve your kids better with enhanced programming, combined and more effective resources, and a fun and exciting evening for all. Each areas changes and improvements are listed below.
Kids under 1 year old
- Meet in room B101.
- Three teams of volunteers staff the room
1- and 2-year old kids
- Meet in room B105
- Three teams of volunteers staff the room
3- and 4-year old kids through 4th graders
- Meet in the Rec Center
- They experience greeting time, snack, and worship time together
- The lesson and craft/activity/game time are seperate, by age, 3's-K's together, 1st-4th together
- Three teams of volunteers will staff the room
Team leaders will be Jaclyn Moore, Lisa Kent, and Mike Johnson.
New Opportunities
One exciting opportunity we have with the kids is a mentoring system where our 3rd and 4th graders will have time to help and assist with our 3 and 4-year olds during church. The older elementary kids love to help and our younger preschool kids want to hang out with the "big kids". The preschool can watch and immulate how our older elementary kids worship and greet each other. This can and will foster a community among the kids that has not existed before!
Caring for your kids
We still will be using Check-in Charlie for security with the kids. The security number on the tags will still be checked on dismissal. The programming, where critical, is age targeted. Each group, when separated, will have time amongst their own age group to enjoy their current friends, when together, have chances to make new friends.
