In 1999, the Myanmar Christian Mission started supporting a native evangelist named Joshua Leme. Joshua is the preacher for the Insein church of Christ in Yangon, Myanmar. Yangon is the capital of Myanmar and has a population of about 4 million. The Insein church has a membership of about 200 people. Joshua is highly respected among the Christians in Myanmar.

He is married to a lovely woman with a humble spirit named Daw Khin Htaik (pronounced Dock in Tie). They have five children: Daniel, Esther, Rebecca, Grace and Anna. Daniel helps Joshua with literature translation and evangelism. Esther is studying at Cincinnati Christian University. Rebecca helps in the medical clinic.
