Grades 1-4 Programs
Large Group (Sunday 9 & 10:30 a.m.)
In "the city" we use the 252 Basics curriculum that centers on three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52:
-I need to make the wise choice.
-I can trust God no matter what.
-I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
We want kids to understand and own these three basic truths, so they’re reinforced each week. We also focus on a core virtue each month. This virtue is supported by the weekly bottom line—the learning aim for the day.
On the whole, 252 Basics utilizes Bible stories, a core virtue, and a memory verse each month while offering engaging presentations of the three basic truths. We also throw in some handy illustrations of how God works in our lives to make us more like Him.
Small Group (Sunday 9 a.m.)
We are passionate about teaching our children the power of God's truth in a real and practical way. These small groups, separated by grade and gender, allow kids to interact in a more personal setting with each other and their adult group leader. Our Small Groups, led by trained adult leaders, are offered Sunday in the 9 a.m. service, immediately following our large group lesson time.
